Free Games for October 2020

With October upon us and Halloween only weeks away, you may find yourself asking, what free games will I be able to get this month for PC, Xbox and PlayStation? And are any of them decent horror games? Have no fear; I have you covered.

Xbox - Games with Gold

This month’s games for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, available to any Xbox player with a current Xbox subscription, are going to be:

Xbox One

- The official trailer linked from Blue Wizard Digitals YouTube channel -

  • Maid of Sker | Available between the 16th October and 15th November

As you may already know, all of the Xbox (Sphinx) and Xbox 360 (Costume Quest) games will be backwards compatible for the Xbox One too. To make it easier to redeem the games, I have linked their titles to their Microsoft store entries and included their trailers so you can find out a little bit more about the game and catch some gameplay footage.

PlayStation - PS Plus

This month’s games available for anyone with an active PS Plus subscription will be:

- The official launch trailer linked from the Need for Speed YouTube channel -

- The official accolade trailer linked from Focus Home Interactive's YouTube channel -

Both will be available to download between the 06th October and the 05th November.

To make it easier to redeem the games, I have linked their titles to their PlayStation store entries and included their trailers so you can find out a little bit more about the game and catch some gameplay footage.
